The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have received an update to enable the new Circle to Search feature per Google’s previously disclosed timeline. Without downloading a software update, a member of the Gadgets 360 team attested to the feature’s activation on their Pixel 8 smartphone, indicating that Google may have done it remotely.
Although users still have the option to launch Google Lens using the Google app or the Google Assistant, doing so necessitates quitting the current app. The video you were watching might not be displayed and you might be brought to the home screen, depending on the app you are using. An example of this would be Instagram. However, you can now search within the app you’re using thanks to the new Circle to Search function.
Google Pixel 8:
On the Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro, you can long-press the bottom navigation bar to access the Circle to Search feature. The phone will freeze the image on the screen so you may doodle or draw around an object or product to use Google for a visual search. Additionally, you can highlight text and use a popup to conduct a Google search.
