Causes and Treatments of Dehydration

Dehydration is a process in which our body loses the fluids that it takes in, leading to a decreased amount of water in our body.

Symptoms

Dehydration can give rise to several symptoms, like

  1. Dry Mouth.
  2. Dark Urine.
  3. Dizziness.
  4. dry skin.
  5. Increase rate of heartbeat.
  6. Thirst.
  7. The eyes become small.
  8. kidney pain.
  9. Cheeks Sunken.
  10.  Irritability.

Causes: Dehydration can occur due to the following reasons:

 

  • If an organism does not drink enough water throughout the day,
  • Excessive water loss from our body due to sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, and frequent urination
  • kidney disease can increase the risk of dehydration.

Dehydration Treatments:

Drinking an Adequate Amount of Water Daily An organism can drink at least 3 liters of water daily.

It involves rehydration by drinking fluids containing a balanced mix of water, glucose, and electrolytes.
